Ilford's high-quality Obscura Pinhole camera is a lower-cost alternative to its Titan range of cameras. We think it's one of the best pinhole camera kits you can buy.

It is made from blown polyurethane with a chemically etched stainless steel pinhole lens. Uniquely, it employs magnets to keep the shutter cover in position (either open or closed). The two outer parts of the camera slide into each other and are also held in place by magnets.

When paper or film is positioned in the chamber, the other part of the camera slides on top of it and holds it in place; resulting in a single exposure with a border. Thus, the Obscura does not employ a dark slide. There is also a bush on the bottom for a tripod.

Manufacturer's Description

Following on from the success of the HARMAN TiTAN Pinhole Camera we have been working
on the development of a lower cost, but very high quality pinhole camera.

The Obscura by ILFORD is manufactured in the UK. It uses expanded PVC as the main
component and magnets to operate the closing system as well as the ?shutter?. The pinhole itself is
laser cut, giving superior quality images when exposed. The image is exposed at the rear of the
camera without the need for a dark slide.

The camera comes with an exposure calculator, film and paper, instructions and decals so the
customer can apply these and decorate the camera as he or she wishes. It is all packed together
in an ultra high quality presentation ?ILFORD? box, with a completely new design script.

Delivery

Most orders incur a total order delivery charge of £7.99 including VAT for mainland UK delivery. All goods are shipped by courier services. The companies we use are DPD or DHL and parcels are delivered in 48 hours or sooner from date of despatch.
