The Novatronic is a 150w heater/stat that is fully submersible heating element with thermostatic control which is capable of heating around 3 gallons/15 litres of liquids from 0 up to 42 degrees C and is accurate to +/- 0.2degrees C.The unit is perfect to cover all your darkroom chemical heating requirements working across a heating for all Black and White and Colour film and print processes.
It is accurate to +/- 0.2 degrees C and fully adjustable. Two suction pads are supplied so that it can be attached to the container in which it is sited.
It measures just 1 inch diameter x 11 inch long (25mm x 279mm) enabling it to be attached to many water bath tanks.
IMPORTANT NOTE:-
EUROPEAN & WORLD Customers (excluding USA and Canada) - A UK 3 Plug is fitted as standard to all our equipment but an optional European 2 Pin Plug adaptor can be purchased to assist you to connect to your electrical supply.
USA & CANADA Customers - Unfortunately, this product is unsuitable for use in the USA & Canada owing to highly sensitive electronic microchip controls which require a 230 volts 50Hz electrical supply. Although a step up transformer can be used to create 230volts from 110volts, the standard frequency of 60Hz also has to be converted to 50Hz in order for the unit to work. You can use a frequency converter but they tend to be expensive.

"This heater is ideal for colour processing; it maintains the required temperature (e.g. 38 degC for E6) of a large 10 litre bath easily and accurately. Of course it would also do the same for lower temperatures, e.g. that for C41, or for B&W processing."

"Excellent product. Temperature control is critical during C41 developing and this heater has made the process so much easier by holding the water bath temperature at exactly 39 degrees centigrade. Just take care to read the directions for use and safety guidelines carefully."

"Seems to do the job for which it was intended. The instructions state that the temperature scale on the device is only a guide and adjustment will be needed. In fact the temperature scale seems to be way out, the temperature reached is much lower than that indicated on the scale though it is possible to obtain the temperature required. I am a bit concerned that the glass casing looks very fragile. I had a heater before which had a plastic casing and was much stronger this lasted for many years before the element failed and I shall be surprised if the Nova heater lasts as long."

"Nicely made, seems to maintain the temperature to good accuracy. The sucker cups that are used to attach it to the basin are very effective. My only concern would be that it appears to be quite fragile, if you believe the instructions. I?ve not had a problem though, they?re probably just being a bit over cautious. "
