"Great, no complaints."

"Gone has that vinegar smell, that doesn’t actually smell like vinegar. If you know what I am talking about, you’ll know it’s fixer. Well, FX30 has no smell, which is fine by me, but more importantly it also seems to fix well. I use it for both film and print and it’s become my fixer of choice. The instructions are very simply an very clearly stated on the bottle. You get 2 choices of dilution and timing, simple as that. With things like fixer, only time will tell how good you fixed media is, but so far after about 6 months of use, it looks good."

"Fotospeed chemicals are consistently good and I have been using them for over 20 years with never any quality issues. I like FX30 fixer for its low odour (not smell free, but only noticeable if you were put your nose close) but mainly because it is PH neutral. You can do your own research on the technicalities of whether the acidity or alkalinity of a fixer is important to you, however, I have been used to using the FX40 alkaline fixer, and now I think it has stopped being made. Alkaline fixers require less washing out of film or paper (developers are alkaline and I use plain water washing for film) and it can be beneficial particularly with fibre based paper, your view may vary. That aside, as alkaline fixer is no longer an economic choice - and I don't wish to prepare my own - I am using the FX30 as, what I think is, the best alternative. It's a good fixer for film or paper. Don't hesitate to consider it."
