Product Description

Using bulk film is cheap and easy.
At Firstcall, we sell everything you need for using bulk film, including plastic cassettes, the film, ISO DX code labels, and the necessary tools.

IMPORTANT

Please note that during the manufacturing process of these cassettes, AP sometimes leave a residue of black felt, used to make the light trap, in the cassette. Therefore, you must inspect your cassettes before use and, if necessary, blow them out of the plastic holder, ensuring no felt can be transferred to the film emulsion during loading.

"They are fine and as expected but the velvet does shed threads so blow the cassettes well before and after loading. "

"Tried a couple of bulk loaded rolls of film. Light tight.I need to take more care with sticking film to spool. The second film separated from spool at end of film in camera.Odd strands of felt separating from cassette- ? risk of fouling emulsion"

"These cassettes are sometimes branded Kaiser, but they are the same as these. Very easy to use, the most difficult part is attaching the film to the spool, but that is common to all reloadables. I have used these for many years and they have never let in light or had the end cap come off accidentaly. Firstcall offer these at the best price you can find in the UK."

"Pretty disappointing, the light seal material falls away from the start and keeps falling away adding bits of dust etc to your film and camera, I doubt I’ll be able to use the canisters more than tow or three times, will look for the metal ones, unfortunately I’d say best avoided, as much as anything other material I read mentioned how good these are....not my experience with these."

"Steve, I was very disappointed to receive your review. This was particularly so given the fact we sell thousands of these cassettes and no one has complained like this before. I'd be happy to replace the cassette for you to see if you get a better response but when it comes to metal cassettes, which we used tp sell, I'm afraid these were discontinued ten years ago (also made in Spain by the same company)."
