The Printmaker 67XL VC is an extra Large version of the 67VC model but with a higher column (1.28 metres) and a bigger baseboard that allows up to 16 x 20-inch enlargements. It will also allow you enlargements from any size of negative from 35mm through to 6x7cm. It also offers improved image size adjustment is by means of a silky smooth crank-operated rack and pinion elevation system that includes a lock.

The 67VC enlargers can accommodate 35mm, 6x4.5cm, 6x6cm, 6x7cm and 35mm 2”x2” mounted slides WITH the appropriate negative carriers for each desired film format. Each different negative size requires its own carrier.

The 35mm negative carrier is included in the 50mm lens kit, but 50mm enlarging lenses only work for 35mm film format.

The light source is identical and includes the same method of contrast and constant exposure. The head is slightly different though (being larger in size). You cannot project on to the floor but it will swivel 90 degrees to allow wall projection. This is a solid enlarger built to withstand heavy usage and is thoroughly recommended for educational use.

Standard equipment includes a 35mm negative carrier, filter drawer for 3 inch (89mm) variable contrast filters and high-quality optical glass condenser included. It takes normal 85w watt halogen bulbs and although made in the USA it uses European 230/240v output electrics and come with fitted 3 pin UK plug.

Please note:

For packaging, the carriage is turned upward to better fit the carton and protect it. If you place the black lever in the centre (projection pivot locking lever #16 on page 1 of the manual), this unlocks the carriage, and you can then rotate it 180° so it is facing downward in the proper direction. The bellows face downward. This enlarger has a swivel base. Once it's vertical, that lever can be pushed to either side to lock in place.

The enlarger's single column emulates the braced, twin channel design found in Beseler's 'top of the line' 45 VXL and assures solid support at the highest magnifications. The column allows prints as large as 16 in x 20 in to be made on the baseboard from 35 mm negatives and a 50 mm lens. A built in swivel allows the projection assembly to rotate making wall projection easy.

Additional features include an improved rack and pinion elevation control with locking mechanisms, right and left hand focusing controls, elevation reference scale and below the lens filter holder.

These enlargers are a fine example of the extra measure of craftsmanship and performance which have characterized Beseler products for over 140 years.
