PermaJet Museum Heritage 310 is a heavyweight fine art inkjet paper combining cotton and Alpha Cellulose fibres with a distinctive textured matt surface and natural mid-white base. Its rough woven texture adds real depth and character to a print, while the specialist coating retains excellent clarity, highlight detail and rich shadow tones. Particularly well suited to fine art photography, landscapes, characterful portraits and artwork reproduction, it is a paper for images that benefit from becoming a more tactile, physical piece of work.
Museum Heritage is a paper we would choose because of its texture, rather than despite it. The pronounced woven surface becomes part of the finished image, giving landscapes, rustic scenes, still life and more painterly photographs a depth that you simply do not get from a smooth photographic paper. It can also work beautifully with portraits where you want something more characterful than a conventional clean studio finish.
Importantly, the texture does not come at the expense of reproduction quality. Its coating delivers an impressive Dmax alongside excellent highlight and shadow detail, while the mid-white base gives both colour and monochrome work a natural appearance. For artists reproducing paintings or other original work, the combination of texture, substantial 310gsm weight and nuanced colour reproduction can give prints a particularly convincing fine art quality.
This is very much a presentation paper. If you are producing an exhibition print, limited-edition artwork or something intended for a portfolio, gallery or long-term display, Museum Heritage has the weight and surface character to make the finished print feel special before it is even framed.
