It pairs well with Negative Supply light sources and carriers across the range, making it a strong choice for users building a more flexible scanning setup. The Basic Riser XL supports camera and lens combinations up to a 90mm full-frame equivalent focal length when scanning 4x5 film, while also providing ample height for 35mm and 120 scanning with the most common macro lenses. Its increased clearance makes it particularly well suited to larger cameras, gripped bodies, and longer lens combinations.
