The Negative Supply Basic Film Carrier 35 MK2 is a fast, reliable solution for scanning 35mm film using a digital camera. Designed as an upgrade to the original Basic Film Carrier 35, it incorporates design elements from the Pro range to deliver improved film flatness, smoother transport, and more consistent results. It supports a wide range of 35mm formats, including half frame, standard full frame, and panoramic, all within a simple and efficient workflow.
System Compatibility Notes
This carrier is designed to be used as part of the Negative Supply camera scanning system and requires a compatible light source to operate. It works with options such as the Negative Supply 4x5 Light Source Basic or Light Source Mini when used with the appropriate Basic Film Carrier 35 MK2 Stabilising Mask. It can also be paired with accessories such as the 35mm Film Scanning Hood, using the included hood adapter, to reduce stray light and improve contrast. Optional cassettes are available separately to expand compatibility with other film formats including 110, 126, and APS.
Why We Like It
This is one of the easiest ways to get into camera scanning without overcomplicating things. If you already own a DSLR or mirrorless camera, you are most of the way there.
