The Negative Supply 120 Film Scanning Hood MK2 Extension is designed to improve medium format camera scanning when working with longer lenses. It extends the height of your compatible 120 Film Scanning Hood by 4.1 inches, helping block unwanted ambient light from entering your scanning setup.

When scanning with longer lenses, especially 90mm or longer full-frame equivalent focal lengths, it can be more difficult to fully mask light around the film carrier. This hood extension increases the distance between the lens and the negative while maintaining better light control, helping produce cleaner, more contrast-rich scans.

The extension is a simple upgrade for users who already work with a Negative Supply 120 film scanning hood and want improved stray light reduction when using telephoto or longer macro lens setups.
