Kodak Professional Ektapan 100 is a fine-grain, panchromatic black and white negative film designed for photographers who want exceptional clarity, crisp detail and a broad range of tones. With an ISO 100 sensitivity, it is particularly well suited to landscapes, architecture, portraits and studio photography, where image quality and precise detail are the priorities.
Its advanced T-Grain emulsion uses tabular silver halide crystals to produce a remarkably smooth grain structure with excellent sharpness and resolving power. The result is a clean, detailed negative that lends itself beautifully to high-resolution scanning, traditional darkroom printing and large enlargements.
Ektapan 100 is a lovely choice when you have plenty of light and want to capture as much detail as possible. We particularly like its smooth grain, crisp edges and rich tonal range for landscapes, architecture and carefully lit portraits. It is also an appealing option for darkroom printers who enjoy making detailed black and white enlargements.
Ektapan 100 uses a T-Grain emulsion with tabular silver halide crystals to deliver an exceptionally fine grain structure. This gives photographs a smooth, clean appearance while helping preserve fine detail, even when negatives are scanned at high resolution or enlarged.
With its high sharpness, strong edge definition and excellent resolving power, Ektapan 100 is particularly well suited to subjects where intricate details matter. From architectural features to landscape textures, it helps produce crisp, clearly defined images.
Ektapan 100 combines strong contrast with a broad tonal range, giving photographers the ability to capture detailed black and white images with distinct edges and smooth transitions between shades of grey. Exposure and development choices can be used to shape the finished look to suit your subject and printing preferences.
With a nominal sensitivity of ISO 100/21deg., Ektapan 100 is a natural choice for daytime exteriors and well-lit studio environments. It can also be used for longer exposures in darker conditions when the camera is suitably supported.
Manufactured by Eastman Kodak in Rochester, New York, Ektapan 100 is part of the Kodak Eastman still photography range. It brings Kodak's film-making heritage to photographers looking for fine-grain black and white negatives and hands-on control over their images.
