Keks KMQ OLED Light Meter

The Keks KMQ is an ultra-compact OLED light meter designed for analogue photographers who want accurate exposure readings without adding bulk to their camera. Measuring little more than the size of a sugar cube and weighing just 18.5g, it slips neatly into almost any camera's hot or cold shoe while delivering fast, reliable reflective light metering. Available with either a top or rear-facing OLED display, and in black or chrome finishes, there's a version to suit both your shooting style and your camera.

Why We Like It

The KMQ proves that a great light meter doesn't have to be large. Despite its tiny size, it feels beautifully made thanks to its aluminium construction and delivers impressively accurate readings using a high-resolution ambient light sensor. The rechargeable battery is another welcome feature, removing the need for button cells, while the updated 2025 firmware adds continuous metering, exposure compensation, and a cleaner interface that makes it even easier to use in the field.
