Firstcall Photo Décor Smooth Art Matte is a 210gsm, museum-quality, two-sided coated inkjet paper designed for fine art, photographic and creative printing. Its natural white tone and smooth matte surface with a subtle texture give prints an elegant, understated finish while preserving crisp detail and a wide colour gamut.
Made from an acid and lignin-free alpha cellulose base, Décor Smooth Art Matte is suitable for archival-quality print applications and works with both aqueous pigment and dye-based inkjet printers. The two-sided coating also makes it particularly versatile for books, albums, greeting cards and other projects where both sides of the paper may be printed.
This is a really versatile art paper. The natural white base gives photographs and artwork a softer, more refined appearance than a bright optical-white paper, while the smooth matte finish works equally well for photography, illustration and graphic artwork. The double-sided coating is a big advantage for albums, books and presentation pieces too.
Décor Smooth Art Matte has a natural white base with no optical brightening agents, helping artwork and photographs retain a refined, natural appearance. The matte coating has a smooth feel with a slight surface texture, giving prints depth without distracting from fine detail.
Both sides of the paper are coated for inkjet printing, making it an excellent choice for applications such as albums, books, cards and portfolios where printing on both sides is required.
The acid and lignin-free alpha cellulose base is designed for archival-quality printing. It also produces crisp, clean folds, making the paper particularly useful for bookbinding, restoration and other creative applications where the finished print may need to be folded or constructed.
The ink-receptive matte coating is designed to deliver an excellent colour gamut and strong D-max for rich blacks and detailed tonal reproduction. It is compatible with both aqueous pigment and dye-based inkjet systems.
The coating is designed for rapid ink absorption and instant-dry handling. For best long-term results, however, we recommend allowing finished prints to remain open to the air for approximately 24 hours before stacking, mounting or placing them into archival storage.
Matte Photo Paper or Enhanced Matte Paper settings are recommended as a starting point. Printer, ink and workflow differences can affect the finished result, so a suitable ICC profile is recommended where accurate colour reproduction is important.
Fine art inkjet papers should be handled carefully by the edges to avoid marking the printable surface. Cotton gloves are recommended where appropriate. Return unused paper to its original packaging and store finished prints using archival-quality materials.
For storage, keep the paper away from direct sunlight and moisture at approximately 15–20°C and 40–60% relative humidity. When dry mounting, do not exceed 82°C.
