This soft working developing agent is the another popular ingredient found in many film and print developers and no home developing cookbook is complete without it as, with the compound hydroquinone it reduces silver halides to elemental silver.


We have many recipies from tradiitional suppliers, using Metol, which can be requested from us.


It is the hydrogen sulfate (HSO4?) salt of the protonated derivative of N-methylaminophenol and has a molecular formula [HOC6H4NH2(CH3)]HSO4.
