The parabolic shape focuses the light into a broad, focused column of light, giving the user more control over the direction of their light, and the spill. Moving your flash head closer or farther away from the center of the umbrella gives users the ability to further fine-tune the focus and intensity of the light. 16 fiberglass rods makeup the frame for these umbrellas, providing overall structural rigidity as well flexibility should your light and umbrella fall over.

Silver umbrellas are traditionally used as a main light in high-contrast portraiture such as athletic/hero-style shoots. The highly-reflective material produces a specular light quality that creates stronger definition in shadows.
