Jacquard ExtravOrganza Inkjet Sheets allow you to print directly onto sheer silk organza, opening up creative possibilities that go beyond standard fabric printing. These semi-transparent sheets let light pass through and layers show beneath, making them ideal for creating depth, texture, and more experimental mixed media work. Each sheet is paper-backed for smooth feeding through your inkjet printer, then peels away cleanly after printing.
Measuring 8.5" × 11" (approx. 21.6 × 27.9 cm), these elegant silk organza sheets are perfect for adding a subtle, layered effect to prints, whether you are working with text, photographs, or graphic designs.
This is where things get a bit more creative. Unlike cotton or silk habotai, organza is sheer, which means you can layer prints over other images or surfaces without completely blocking what sits underneath. It is a great way to add depth or build up more complex compositions, particularly for art projects, display pieces, or experimental print work.
It also encourages a bit of play. Printing is just the starting point, you can stamp onto the fabric before printing, fray the edges for a softer finish, or combine it with paint and other materials. It is not just about printing an image, it is about building something more tactile and layered.
Load one sheet at a time into your inkjet printer. It is always worth running a test print on paper first to check orientation and layout. Adjust printer settings as needed to achieve the desired level of detail and saturation.
Once printed, peel the organza sheet away from the paper backing and allow it to dry fully before further handling. If rinsing is required, leave at least 24 hours drying time beforehand.
The printed fabric can be attached to projects using sewing, vellum tape, glue dots, or other suitable methods. For more creative results, try layering prints, fraying the edges, or combining with stamping and paint.
