DragonFilm No. I Black and White Film ISO 100 135-24
DragonFilm No. I is a distinctive ISO 100 black and white 35mm film with a cinematic look and very fine grain. Manufactured in Ukraine, it delivers strong tonality and crisp detail, with a thin PET base that dries impressively flat, making scanning at home straightforward and reliable.
Why We Like It
This is a film with real character. DragonFilm No. I rewards careful handling and thoughtful exposure, and it offers excellent flexibility for those who like to experiment. Rated at ISO 100, it can be pulled down to ISO 25 for smoother tones, or pushed up to ISO 320 when you need extra speed, all while retaining pleasing contrast. The thin PET base dries flatter than many traditional emulsions, which we find makes a noticeable difference when scanning. Do take care when loading, and always change rolls in subdued light, as the film is sensitive to light piping. It is a great choice for photographers who enjoy a hands-on approach and want a cinematic black and white look.
