Never before has it been this easy to process your films using this multi-format, daylight-loading film development tank.
Most analogue photographers have two options when it comes to processing film: develop the rolls yourself or take them to a local lab. Until now, being away from home without a darkroom or changing bag has made film development extremely difficult.
With the brand-new Lab-Box from Ars-Imago, you can process 35mm or 120 film from start to finish in full daylight—no darkroom required.
Lab-Box is the most comfortable and quickest tool to develop your own films in full daylight, anywhere and at any time. It bypasses the need to load rolls in the dark. This multi-format tank allows development from start to finish, thanks to two interchangeable modules and a multi-format reel that supports both 135mm and 120mm films.
Features:
- Universal and Modular: Develop both 135 and 120 film rolls by simply switching the loading module.
- Compact and Portable: Small enough to carry in a bag or backpack.
- Quick and Easy: Load and develop film in daylight through an intuitive process.
- Versatile and Professional: Suitable for beginners and experienced photographers alike, with flexibility to experiment with different development processes.
Modules:
- 135 Module: Insert and fix the 35mm cassette, clip the film, close the lid, and rotate the outer knob (or use the crank handle) to load the film onto the reel. An internal blade cuts the film from the cartridge once fully loaded.
- 120 Module: Place the film in the top compartment. Once the lid is closed, pull out the black backing paper through the rear slot to automatically load the film into the lightproof bottom compartment. Then clip the film, close the lid, and rotate the knob to load it onto the reel.
Development Agitation:
Lab-Box allows partial or full submersion of the reel in liquid to experiment with different agitation styles. Rotate the outer knob to agitate the chemicals and ensure uniform development.
- Continuous Agitation: Use 270ml of liquid to partially submerge the reel. Agitate continuously by turning the knob throughout processing.
- Intermittent Agitation: Use 500ml of liquid to fully submerge the reel. Agitate intermittently during processing by turning the knob.
