If you wanted to capture ultra-vivid images with ultra-fine grain, only one film sprang to mind: Fuji Velvia.
The exciting news is that Kodak's new Professional Ektar 100 offers these properties for negative film. It should be interesting for all photographers who like their colours to leap off the page. There are several advantages to using negative film rather than slide film, to name but a few; negative film is much more forgiving of exposure errors, and it is still easier to get negative film developed and printed.

With an ISO rating of 100, this film is ideal for enlargements and scanning. This film is recommended for all but portrait photography (for which you should use Kodak Portra films).
