Product Description

For over 50 years, Kodak TRI-X has been of one of the best-loved monochrome films of all time.

It remains Kodak's best-selling black-and-white film. Sebastiao Salgado, Alfred Eisenstadt, Henri Cartier-Bresson and John Sexton have all produced magnificent images using this film during the this time.

It offers an incredible tonal range, wide exposure and distinctive grain structure and just like Ilford's HP5 Plus, is a medium speed black and white film that can be pushed to ISO 3200 making it a great low-light film and definitely one for typical British winter days out.

"Iconic but not great with Rodinal 1+ 50 for 35mm scanning. If anyone knows otherwise or what developer will give acceptable scans please let me know. Until then I’m sticking with Pan F."

"Kodak Tri x has been on the market place since the 50's and for good reason too..this film is so forgiving when it comes time to push exposures and is a pleasure to use. I find another great benefit of using Tri X,is that it dries very quickly and evenly in a short time after processing,,which is always an added bonus. Processed negatives from this film have that old school look with a slight magenta tinge. You can also shoot Tri X comfortably at speeds up to 1600 ISO, making it very versatile. If like me,you enjoy using Rangefinder cameras,Tri x is an excellent choice of monochrome film ,and one which I'll use for as long as it's available."

Delivery
